Injecting humour into a ceremony doesn't have to feel forced or scripted; in fact, it can be done effortlessly. Let’s chat some creative and organic ways to infuse humour into your ceremony, making it truly memorable for both you and your guests.

Light-hearted anecdotes and stories

Build a connection with your guests by sharing amusing incidents or hilarious moments that have led you to this special day. Keep the stories concise, relatable, and relevant to the occasion, ensuring they bring smiles without overshadowing the significance of the ceremony.

How do I do this for you?
During the beginning of your ceremony, I recount how you first met, highlighting comical mishaps or funny coincidences that brought you together. Even though some guests may already know how you first met, they may not know the tiny details that bought you to this momentous occasion.
This will allow your guests to connect with your journey on a more personal level, while eliciting laughter and setting a light-hearted tone for the rest of the ceremony.

Surprise elements

Surprises always have a way of infusing excitement and laughter into any event. Incorporating unexpected elements into your ceremony will keep your guests engaged and entertained throughout.

What can we do?
If you haven’t chosen anyone in particular to be your witnesses or even hold your rings, we can add a surprise element or Witness Bingo or hide your rings under a selected/random guests chair!

Quirky rituals and traditions

Introduce quirky rituals or traditions that reflect your personalities or shared interests. These can be woven into the ceremony seamlessly, making it both amusing and personalized.

A few ideas
If you are trivia heads, incorporating a "game of love" into the ceremony where each partner takes turns answering humorous relationship trivia questions can be both entertaining and meaningful. This light-hearted activity will not only bring laughter but also remind everyone of the couple's unique bond.
If you don’t know who would like to go first in reading their personal vows, we can have a friendly game of β€˜Rock, Paper, Scissors’ or even leave it up to a bit of chance with a β€˜Shot Roulette’

Engaging the guests

Make your guests an active part of the ceremony by involving them in playful and interactive moments. This creates a sense of camaraderie and brings everyone together in laughter.

How you might ask?
Have your guests make some vows to you! I will ask everyone to raise their hand and repeat after me. You might want them to vow to support you in marriage for decades to come, you might ask them to unleash their inner party animals at the reception. There may be an inside joke like don’t let Aunty Betty near the microphone to sing her rendition of β€˜I Will Always Love You’
